That’s right folks - it’s the last game, the big game of the 2010 season: the 2010 Championships. It’s been an incredibly tight year, with all three home teams winning one game each. The closest game of the season, however, was between these two teams - Les Contrabanditas and Les Filles du Roi - is was a one point victory.
There is not much to say here: you don’t want to miss this one folks. The last game until next April - the Championship game - the tightest MTLRD home season ever.

Romeo is a veteran of love, war and Montreal Roller derby. She’s a member of both The New Skids on the Block and Les Filles du Roi, and despite what you might imagine – running into Romeo feels less like romance and more like a brick wall.
Q: How long have you been involved with the sport?
It would now be my third year as of now, and still going!
Q: What is your favorite aspect of roller derby?
The physical brutality of it, and the real competitiveness between teams and between players. As the years go by, it makes me want to become better and better as a skater and as a person in this screwed up planet. What makes everything stick together most of all, is the significant friendships I’ve developed along the way (as well as my undying love for Smack Daddy).
You’ve seen her, pacing the floor near the purple and gold bench, patiently holding onto a clip board crammed with top secret plans – it’s Mama San, and she’s Les Filles du Roi’s Bench Manager. And let me tell you – that’s not an easy task – those ladies are wild on and off the track. Mama San is just the person they need to focus on the game and keep everyone cool and confident for the next jam.
