Camp is twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays, from August 10 to November 2. All practices will be at Le Taz (8931 avenue Papineau,Montréal,Québec,H2M 0A5). Tuesday night practices run from 7pm to 9:30pm, and Sunday practices run from 6pm to 9pm. You NEED to complete the entire Boot Camp process first in order to be considered part of our league, and an official member of the Smash Squad. The Smash Squad is a group of recruts who practices with the league and will be elligible for tryouts.They are not yet on one of our 3 existing home teams. Being on the Smash Squad doesn’t mean you will make it on a team. Our league is advancing so quickly, we need recruits to understand that they need to be serious,dedicated and motivated in becoming athletes.Tryouts are TBA. We strongly encourage you to start skating NOW . That way we can focus more time on the needed skills than skating skills. Camp is separated in five levels of skills to work on and a Newbie can NOT move to the next level if she did not pass the previous level. There will be a tight structure for all the Boot Camps and including set testing dates. It is designed to give enough time for ‘campers’ to learn, but is set at a fast pace so that by the time the league comes back from the off-season on November 2nd, Newbies will be “up to speed” and ready to join league practices. If a ‘camper’ FAILS a level,she can’t continue to the next level right away. If she fails the same Level TWICE, she is not able to continue with boot camp. Can La Racaille get past the relentless defense of Les Filles du Roi? Can Les Files du Roi tolerate the incessant brutality of La Racaille?
