Riding into town on the back of a quarter horse fitted for a queen, Annie Oakley slung her .22 caliber rifle at 90 feet to split a playing card edge and still had enough time to put five or six more holes in it before it touched the ground. She was coined as the “immortal Annie Oakley” and was not to be reckoned with.
Like Annie Oakley, being able to shoot the head off a running quail when she was only twelve years old, Rae Volver has kept much of her great grandmother’s spirit alive. Although she rides into town in a dusty Bobcat, and has traded in the family heirloom for a .38 caliber, she is none the less as immortal on the derby track as her great grandmother in the Wild West.
The venue for destruction has changed over time and the accuracy of the bullet put to the target has been honed, but for Rae Volver the path of obliteration in the name of justice has remained constant and true. Bringing an artistry of derby skills to whole other level, she has surpassed all others who have attempted to take “her” flat-track in Montreal and will continue to be unsurpassed by all others who try. A crowd pleaser and lady teaser, you are sure to get your money’s worth when watching her one woman show! Just remember to stay clear of her bulleting blows
